All techniques used for this method are external in nature and can be modified based on your comfort level. Fertility Massage uses Therapeutic Massage, Cranial Sacral techniques, Reflexology, Gynovisceral Manipulation, Essential Oils, and Castor Oil Packs on the abdomen. This type of massage has a very specific protocol that is used to enhance a couple's chance of conceiving a child naturally or with assisted reproductive technology. There is a protocol for both female and male clients with specific techniques. My clients currently have a 70% conception rate.
"My husband and I had been trying to conceive for several months. JJ approached me about Fertility Massage and I couldn't wait to try it! The massage was amazing and for the first time in months, I felt my body relax. JJ explained the specific techniques used and how they related to my fertility. The entire process of how this technique was developed was really inspiring. We found out a few weeks later that we were pregnant, and I have to say that I think the Fertility Massage played a huge role in our success! I would highly recommend this service to anyone trying to conceive." -Alyssa M
The initial appointment is 2 hours in length and will include an in-depth consultation followed by a 90-minute Fertility Massage Session. Follow-up appointments are either 75 or 90 minutes in length. Fertility Massage appointments for females need to be performed after menstrual bleeding has ceased, but before ovulation. If an appointment is made after ovulation for that menstraul cycle, a Therapeutic Massage will be substituted, as it is contra-indicated to perform a Fertility Massage after ovulation. Massage can help provide a relaxing and nourishing environment for your baby to grow. Special precautions and positioning will be used as your pregnancy progresses. After 13 weeks gestation, only side-lying and semi-reclined positioning will be used for your comfort and safety. I received my Pregnancy Massage education from Kate Jordan’s Bodywork for the Childbearing Year ®.
“Expecting my first child was the most exciting and at the same time scariest time of my life. As any new mom would, I wanted to maintain optimal health for myself and for the baby. I had previously struggled with many issues leading up to my pregnancy and was determined to do everything in my power to ensure a positive outcome. Staying healthy and comfortable proved to be a challenge, but I had some help that made all the difference.
JJ Novak was amazing to work with. Her experience, knowledge, and demeanor was such a calming influence and truly got me through my pregnancy. She was able to reduce my anxiety, relieve the aches and pains, and improve my sleep. With regular prenatal massages, I felt much less tension and was secure in knowing that I was improving the chances for a healthy baby and smooth delivery.
JJ was instrumental in managing during my pregnancy. She gave me advice, was compassionate and understanding, and always had a great sense of humor. She was professional and always explained her methods while making sure I was comfortable. The benefits for both my baby and I were immeasurable.” – Lisa C., McHenry, IL
