At Family Tree Massage and Wellness, I provide massage with a nurturing and compassionate touch to help improve the lives of my clients. I believe in the restorative benefits of massage as a vital component to living a healthy lifestyle. I enjoy the personal and individual nature of massage, which allows each person to customize their session to suit their individual needs.
I earned Bachelors in Science Degrees in Exercise and Sport Science and Psychology from Carthage College in 1995. I completed my Massage Therapy education at the Chicago School of Massage Therapy, in 2004. I am Board Certified and Illinois licensed. I am certified in Bodywork for the Childbearing Year ®, Pregnancy Massage. This additional education allows me to have more extensive training in the side-lying positioning, which is great not only for the expectant mother, but can also be a fantastic position for working with hip issues or for someone that has difficulty lying either on their stomach or back. I am a Certified Fertility Massage Specialist, which is a bodywork protocol specifically designed for the couple that is trying to conceive. In 2016, I earned my Mercier Therapy Certification, which is gynovisceral manipulation. I have been a Certified Personal Trainer since 2001. I enjoy incorpating all of my training to customize your session to optimize results.
